OSHAWA -- YWCA Durham hosted a party on July 9 for the 20th anniversary of the supportive housing program. The program also received a $21,700 Ontario Trillium Fund Grant. MPP Jerry Ouellette presented YWCA Durham board member Sharon Wright a plaque during the event. July 9, 2010.

OSHAWA -- More than 3,000 stuffed animals were tossed onto the ice after the Oshawa Generals scored their first goal of the game against the Kingston Frontenacs in the second period of their game at the GM Centre December 4.

It was the 13th Annual Teddy Bear Toss and the stuffed animals will be donated to the Durham Children's Aid Society, YWCA Durham and the Eastview Boys and Girls Club for distribution this holiday season.
